Brotherly Love

Love these boys!

Funny memories

Cameron keeps us laughing, this kid talks like he's ten so he always has something to say. It's usually pretty funny too! :)

Last night he was talking to Jason and randomly came up with this, details and all, by himself: "Daddy we are going to spend the night at Sheila's house. I need to sleep by Brogan, but maybe we need to bring my bed because I need to sleep ther by Brogan.
Jason: "Where will me and mommy sleep?" Cam: "In Sheila's bed. But Sheila can't sleep there, cause there is not enough room." Jason: "Where will they sleep then?" Came: "Um....on the couch. And Blake can sleep with Briscoe." Hmmm...really planned out! He forgot about Madison though!

Jason has been teaching the kids how to be respectful when we hear the National Anthem. He's only shown them a couple times. Football was on the other night and I came into the room and found Cam standing with on hand on his hard and one behind his back. SO CUTE! I asked what he was doing and he said "Well I heard the song Mom!"
Cam is now into boxing/UFC fighing. The other day Cam was sitting in his chair when he suddenly jumped up arms swinging like a crazy person shouting to Jason "YOU WANT A PEICE OF ME????" and at the same time tripped and fell flat on his face! Oh dear, poor boy!

Cam is forever asking to cuddle, telling me he loves me SO much (and monkey, he always has to throw in that he loves monkey!) that he loves his Daddy and that he misses him when he's gone. Sure love this happy, go-lucky, always has a huge smile, knife fighting, UFC fighting boy!

Novmber 19th

I am truly thankful for Jasons job. I often forget to be thankful for it because Jas is gone so often - life catches up with me. But we are beyond blessed that he has a solid, steady income to provide for our family. The Lord has blessed us with his job!

Novmber 18th

Thankful for the wonderful people in my life that are always there for me and committed to helping me with the kiddos while Jason is away. Some stay the night, some give me a couple hours of freedom {or a nap} and some lift me up in prayer daily. Couldn't do it with out all of them!

November 17th

I am thankful for fun, spur of the moment days with my pal Sheila. She is always up for a good {crazy} idea involving 2 mommies and four 3 year olds and a 2 year old. Fun times, good memories!

November 14th

I am thankful for seasons! I really love them all BUT there is something about fall that is one of my favorites! Love the pumpkins, the leaves, the warm, cozy houses, Thanksgiving and the promise of the Christmas season! It's a beautiful time of year - love all the fun I have had with the kids this fall!

November 13th

I am thankful for the blessing of friends! Someone to talk on the phone with, someone to have coffee with, cry with, support or be supported by, someone to laugh with. What a fun, special thing the Lord created in frienship. I for one, am beyond blessed with the friendships I have in my life.

Novembr 12th

Had a wonderful day in Nampa with Kristen, Sage and Jonah! I got to go spend all day just loving on Baby Jonah and visiting with my sis! What a special day for me! So thankful for that friendship and the newest member of our family!

November 11th

Grateful for our military men and women today. I don't think many of realize, truly realize the sacrifice that is made by these people! I know I didn't until Sage was deployed! I still don't fully understand but my eyes were opened more to it over this last year. I want to say a special thanks to my Dad, Grandpa Jones, Grandpa Martindale and Sage! These wonderful men in my family have all served their country! So grateful there are people willing to give up everything so that we can live in freedom and peace.

November 10th

With as cold as it is this last week I am SO very thankful for a warm house to snuggle up in. I am a lover of cozy warm blankets - and I just got a surprise gift from my Aunt Cheryl in California. She made me a cozy, wonderfuly warm and fleecy blanket and sent it to me. SO sweet and is now my favorite blanket!

Can't believe I forgot!!

Some of the most important part of Cameron and Blakes updates - they are both pretty much fully potty trained! I am so proud of them! We had been working on it for months with not a whole lot of success and we were all getting frustrated! So one day I just took offf the diapers and told 'em to keep 'em dry. They have done GREAT! We have only had a couple accidents, they've done great! I was told it was easier to go straight to underwear from diapers but I didn't make that jump to begin with. I would've with just one but 2 to 3 kids potty training all at once? No thank you on that mess. But they have doing great now! Blake runs up to me and says "I have a go hobby Mommy!" CUTE! Madison calls it a pobby. Love it! Cam has the right wording down and loves to get excited about whats going in the potty! Today it was "HOLY MOLY Mom, come look at this poop! It's HUGE!" Yes, that's my son! It is a big accomplishment though... :)

November 9th

I am OH-SO-THANKFUL I got to go hold this precious bundle of joy today! He is perfect and amazingly cute! Kristen and Sage will be wonderful parents. Love you all!!

Cameron

Cameron is a wonderfully sweet kiddo! He is my easy going, ready to please, goofy little ham! He is forever making me laugh with the things he says. The other day we were talking about taking care of each other and that Daddy takes care of me. I asked Cam if he would take care of me when I was really old. He said "No, I will lock you up in a gate." Me: "Oh yea, would you feed me?" Cam: "Oh yea, I would give you dinner." Ok, then. I think he was just being funny, this kid would do anything for me! He is very tender hearted, very sensitive to correction and always ready to say sorry. He is very athletic. This kid can dribble and shoot like nobodys buisness. He can hit a ball being pitched to him and is getting pretty good at catching with his new mit. Loves to throw and play tackle football. His latest obsession are swords and knives. Since watching the Pirates Who Don't Do Anything and seeing their sword fights that is ALL he wants to do. He walks around all day with anything that can be used/resembles a knife BEGGING someone to sword fight with him. He was chasing kids around at Just Kiddin Around pleading with them to sword fight. The other kids weren't sure about that strange 3 year old. Love him! He is 31lbs and wearing 3T clothing and size 7 shoes. This kid puts down the food too - must be why he is growing so much! Cam is a pretty smart kiddo and learns fast. We have been working on verses this year and he can recite Ephesians 4:32 and Colossians 3:20 word for word. Loves to pray and I love to listen to all of them pray! He NEVER stops talking - from the minute he gets up to the minute he goes to sleep this kid is talking! :) Hmmm...who does he take after???? He likes to break out some moves too any time music is on, and he has some moves too! I wish I could bottle up all the voices and things he says and just keep him like this forever! He is a pretty big Mommies boy too. Whenever I leave he says "You are coming back???? You ALWAYS come back Mommy!" I had to start saying that over and over because they all 3 were heading into a stage of worrying if I would come home. They seem to be grasping it! He is forever saying he loves us. Getting to the point where he misses his Daddy a lot while he is gone! While he was sick a couple weeks ago he said "I want to talk to my Daddy!" Me: Daddy doesn't have his phone right now" Cam picks up fake phone: "I want to talk to my Daddy. Daddy, I'm sick. I don't feel good. I need you to come home to take care of me please!" Oh, broke my heart! I tried my best to make up for Daddy - he's a hard one to beat! Just enjoying every minute of my happy, funny, loving little guy!

November 8th

I am VERY VERY VERY thankful today for the birth of my newest nephew (and only one on my side of the fam) I am SO excited about this incredibly handsome little man. Can't wait to meet him - the flu has held us off thus far. But I should get to love on him tomorrow! This big boy weighed in at 8lbs 8oz and 21inches long and such a blessing! Love him already!!

November 7th

I am thankful for the health of my kiddos. I am reminded every so often that the lack of health, physical and mental problems that we have had with our preemie babies is a blessing. It is definately not the norm. I may be struggling through the flu with them (got round 2 and this time Daddy is gone!) but it reminds me to be thankful that this is just a fleeting sickness and otherwise the Lord worked a miracle in the perfect health of these special kids! So thankful for that!!

November 6th

Thanful for the special cuddle time I got with my kiddos today! THANKFUL that everyone is feeling better and we are taking the day slow and lazy. Slow and lazy days lead to lots of cuddling - which I can't get enough of!

November 5th

I am thankful that my AWESOME and AMAZING hubby was home and not out of town when 2 out of 3 kids came down with the flu. I was in Boise when it happened and he handled it like a pro. Thankful that IF they HAD to get it - I had help! Poor babies though!

November 4th

I am thankful for My faithful Savior. Thankful that he never gives up on me - cause I would've a looooong time ago! I am thankful I can have a relationship with him, that he daily works in me, forgives me, opens my eyes and my heart to where he wants to take me. It's a pretty amazing thing - if we only take time to think about it!

Blake

Blakers Summer 2011
Our boy Blake! He is such a sweetheart! I love this little guy to death. He is growing up way too fast on me. He is into 3T clothes now, size 6 to 7 shoes, and weighs 29lbs. He is tall and SKINNY! :) He loves music (or cds as they call all music!) Is obessesed with my Moms IPad. The minute we walk into their house it's "I play ipad Gammy???" Of course my mom lets him! We bought them a little play laptop for their birthday. It's all about learning letters and numbers. He would sit and play it for hours if I let him. He is learning his letters....He enjoyed learning to play baseball with Daddy over the summer and got very good at hitting off the tee. He can ride his trike and his scooter and loves both. Being outside is one of his favorite things to do. He still speaks his own language that we don't fully understand but are learning. :) It's so cute, I think I will be sad when he speaks "english!" He has a very tender heart and is almost always willing to share with the other kids. He can recite 2 verses from memory all by himself! We have learned Colossions 3:20 and Ephesians 4:32. For the most part Blake is very easy going and obedient. He has a very stubborn streak but it only shows up every once in a while. Usuallly all it takes is a little talking and he does the right thing. I love his tender heart and I hope it sticks around! He tells me he is going to college soon, I am going to miss him! :) Blake is very particular about how he sleeps. He always has to hold his lion (Roar), his bunny (that's actually a dog) and piglet. His pillow is to be on one certain side propped up against the back of the bed just so. He like his blanket on upside down and wants to have the tag of the blanket easily accessable. He talks VERY animated which is so cute. It will be fun when we really know what he is saying! He is very good at taking care of me and giving me loves whenever I need it. The biggest news in Blakes life is that he is practically potty trained! WAHOOOO....it's been a long road that has frustrated me very much. I went the pull up route because, well because I am potty training 3 kids and did not want the mess. However, I think that'a what held us back. I decided 4 days ago to just put on undewear and he has been dry ever since. Not one accident. He tells me all day "I have to go hobby Mommy!" Stays dry through naps too! Still wet at night, but hey big progress was made! My mom put them to bed the first night that they wore underwear. She told them they had to take off the underwear for bed and put on a diaper. Blake got VERY upset. He said "Gammy!! I NEED to wear my unerwear!!!" She told him no but that he could wear them in the morning. He was still upset so she allowed him to take them to bed with him. So my dear boy cuddled with his underwear all night instead! Oh, that kid! SO cute! For some reason Brogan likes to call Blake, Blakey. Sometimes he likes it, sometimes he doesn't. He HATES it if Cam or Madison calls him Blakey. They have caught on to that too and do it to get a rise out of him. He always looks at me frustrated and says "I a boy mommy, I Blake!" I don't think any of them realize yet that you can have nicknames or multiple things that describe you. What a joy Blake is to us! Thankful for him. I can't believe he is 3 already!!

Novermber 3rd

I am VERY thankful for these two! There are more reasons than I could ever tell. They are two of my best friends, set a wonderful example of a loving marriage, the such awesome grandparents, SO supportive of me and the list goes on! God blessed me the day he put me in this family!
